NeoStack AI can work with several agents and chat providers. You do not need to configure all of them.

For most users:
- Use NeoStack Cloud if you want the simplest setup.
- Use Claude Code if you want the strongest hands-on Unreal editing workflow.
- Use Codex if you already use ChatGPT or want a strong coding agent with generous usage.
- Use OpenRouter if you want one API key for many models.

I just bought NeoStack AI
Start with NeoStack Cloud. It is the least work to set up and keeps you inside the editor.
I want the best Unreal agent
Use Claude Code. It is the best first choice for complicated Blueprint edits, asset workflows, animation systems, and long tasks that need many tool calls.
I already use ChatGPT
Use Codex. It is a strong all-rounder and is especially good for code, project structure, debugging, and careful step-by-step work.
I want to test many models
Use OpenRouter. It is API-key based, so setup is simple, but cost depends on the model you choose and how much you use it.
I already pay for GitHub Copilot
Try Copilot CLI before buying another subscription. If it is not strong enough for your Unreal workflow, add Claude Code or Codex later.
Agents To Treat As Advanced
Gemini CLI
Gemini can connect, but it is not the first recommendation for NeoStack AI. Use it only if you already rely on Gemini and are comfortable testing the workflow yourself.
Cursor
Cursor is useful as an IDE, but it does not give the same in-editor agent experience as Claude Code or Codex. Use it for MCP access from Cursor, not as the main NeoStack AI chat path.

- Complete the Setup Checklist.
- Try NeoStack Cloud first.
- Add Claude Code or Codex if you want a more powerful local agent workflow.
- Add OpenRouter, Copilot, Gemini, or Cursor only if you have a specific reason.
Can I Switch Later?
Yes. You can switch agents at any time. Your project and assets stay the same; only the AI backend changes.
